Pratyush Srivastava, born 27 February 1991,〔(【引用サイトリンク】 title= Artist Archives: Pratyush Srivastava, singer, composer )〕 is an Indian poet, Ghazal singer, songwriter and musician. He is also known as the "Sukhanwar", which he uses as a pen name when writing Ghazals and shayari.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 title= About Pratyush "Sukhanwar" )〕 He has composed and sung in numerous languages including Hindi, English, and Urdu.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 title= Did you know: Ghazals are sung not just in urdu but also in Punjabi, Gujarati and Nepali ? )〕 Pratyush has been inspired by the works of Dr. Jagjit Singh who was responsible for the revival and popularity of ghazal, an Indian classical art form, by choosing poetry that was relevant to the masses and composing them in a way that laid more emphasis on the meaning of words and melody evoked by them. His style of composing and ''Gayaki'' (singing), just like the legendary singer, is considered as ''Bol-pradhan'',〔(【引用サイトリンク】 title= Ghazal Songs )〕 one that lays emphasis on words. He highlighted this in his music and public addresses. His compositions make use of Digital Audio Workstations, the background music is minimal and modern. Sudha Srivastava, both government employees. He graduated in the year 2014 from Indian Institute of Technology, Varanasi (IIT-BHU) as a Metallurgical Engineer.
